Food Safety Symposium - February 7, 2002 (8:45 am - 5:00 pm)
Toronto Metro Hall, Room 308/309, 55 John Street, Toronto, Ontario
Pollution Probe, in partnership Toronto Public Health, the Ontario Public Health Association, the McMaster Institute of Environment and Health, the Association of Supervisors Public Health Inspectors of Ontario, and the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (Ontario), are holding a one-day symposium to address the food safety issues that are emerging in Canada. This symposium will provide a forum for the exchange of policy direction ideas and best available scientific research, and will bring together individuals who are knowledgeable, integral and active in the area of food safety. The symposium will include presentations focused on exploring the range of current and emerging food safety concerns, an examination of the current food production and distribution system, and the food safety system in Canada and the regulatory environment.
