Hello Monica

I am interested in all those areas you mentioned, so I would love to
hear about the feedback you receive.

To date the health promotion that I know happens in A&Es are:

* needle exchange - many provide this service but not always in a
willing manner

* some A&E's have used the WHO Alcohol screening tool "Audit", I
know this has been used for example at Gosford Hospital in NSW's
Central Coast Area Health Service

I am soon to embark on a project looking at detoxification services
in A&E departments, thus far I have few details but my work in this
area may unearth more useful information for you about systems
and how to change them.

Kind regards,

Jane.
