Duty Station: Brasilia, Brazil; Tenure: Two years, first
year probationary period.  Division/Program/Office:
Division of Disease Prevention and Control (HCP) -
Communicable Diseases Program (HCT)

Salary Information:  Basic Salary: $50,767 at single rate;
Post Adjustment: $25,587 at single rate; Hardship/Mobility:
$2,211 at single rate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Education: A Ph.D. degree from a
recognized university in entomology and/or ecology with
specialized training in public health and/or vector-borne
diseases control. Experience:  At national level:  Seven
years of experience with progressively greater
responsibilities in the performance of activities in the
areas of public health epidemiology and vector-borne
diseases control.  Must possess demonstrated capabilities
in the management of integrated vector control activities.
At international level:  Two years of participation in
technical cooperation programs and activities involving the
provision of technical cooperation in public health and
vector-borne diseases control programs. Languages: Very
good knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish with a working
knowledge of English.

Duty Station: Caracas, Venezuela; Tenure: Two years, first
year probationary; Division/Program/Office; Health
Promotion and Protection (HPP); Family Health and
Population (HPF)

Salary Information: Basic Salary: $50,767 at single rate;
Post Adjustment: $17,667 at single rate; Hardship/Mobility:
$2,211 at single rate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: An M.D. degree from a
recognized school of medicine with specialization in
pediatrics, internal medicine, gynecology/obstetrics, or
family and adolescent health, and postgraduate studies to
the master's degree level in public health; or a Ph.D.
degree which includes training in disciplines related to
adolescent health, family health and/or public health.
Experience:  At national level: Seven years of progressive
experience applying knowledge at the national, municipal or
local level in designing, managing, implementing and
researching adolescent health programs.  Experience in
human resources training and working experience with the
application of a multidisciplinary and intersectoral
approach in adolescent health would be an asset.  At
international level: Two years of participation in
technical cooperation projects and activities concerning
adolescent health, including the acquisition and management
of externally funded projects.  Languages: Very good
knowledge of Spanish with a working knowledge of English.
