Carol - here in the UK there has been a very useful report published this
summer which reviews the research evidence about diet and cancer:

Committee on Medical Aspects of Food and Nutrition Policy/Department of
Health (1998)  Nutritional Aspects of the development of cancer - report of
the working group on diet and cancer of the Committee on Medical Aspects of
Food and Nutrition Policy.   (The Stationary Office).

 I do not have the ISBN number, but if you check our University library
(www.mmu.ac.uk/library) you can find the details about it.
