Position: Communications Specialist  -  Women's Health Matters

Salary: $20.22-$24.26/hr

Hours of Work:  9:00 - 5:00  -  4 days/week

Summary of Duties: Under the direction of the Director, Women's Health
Partnerships & the Women's Health Matters Web Site Editorial Advisory Board,
the incumbent writes & edits materials for the Women's Health Matters Web
Site.
This involves liaising with hospital staff & departments, interviewing
staff, collecting up-to-date information & keeping current on women's health
issues.  The individual will provide communications assistance to other
Women's Health Matters projects, as required.

Qualifications/Skills: 1 yr. Community College or  3 yrs. Undergraduate
degree.  3 yrs. or more experience working with both print & web based
media. Special skills or competencies: writing, editing, proof-reading &
copy-editing, interviewing, computer skills - Microsoft Word, Spreadsheets,
Excel, PowerPoint,  Desktop publishing, Web information management,
presentation skills, knowledge of women's health issues, experience with web
media.  Understanding of Web architecture & design, knowledge of new
information technology.
