Postdoctoral Fellowship

Applications are invited for a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in the
York Institute for Health Research, in the area of immigration,
social determinants of health and health policy, commencing December
15, 2007. The successful applicant must have expertise and interest
in program evaluation and a demonstrated ability to develop and
maintain a successful research program. The position involves taking
a leadership role in a multidisciplinary research team addressing the
variables affecting immigrant health in York Region and evaluating
existing social inclusion efforts in the region. Opportunities for
additional multi-disciplinary health research projects will be
available, and teaching opportunities may be negotiable. Evidence
must be provided that the candidate’s defense of their dissertation
has been set for a date prior to April 30, 2008.

The York Institute for Health Research is a pan-university research
institute situated at York University. The YIHR promotes
multi-disciplinary health research from a variety of perspectives,
including political, behavioural, economic, biological, legal,
