Please check out the BMJ lifetime achievement award short list and
consider voting for McMaster University's Gordon Guyatt for the BMJ
Lifetime Achievement Award 2010 <http://www.bmj.com/ > www.bmj.com

Gordon Guyatt, McMaster professor, evidence-based medicine guru,
advocate for universal health care, and all-around nice guy has been
nominated, along with 117 others for the British Medical Journal's
2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.

He is now down to the TOP 10 FINALISTS.

You may know Gordon Guyatt as the one who coined the term "Evidence
Based Medicine" or you may know him as the author of "User's Guide to
Medical Literature" which you may have used to learn how to critically
appraise articles. You may know him as author of countless systematic
reviews, randomised trials and more.

You should also know that he is a voice that advocates very eloquently
and with evidence and morality for a universal, publicly funded health
care system in Canada. You should also know that he is a downright
decent human being who truly cares for everyone around him and is
fearless in speaking out to ensure a better Canada.

Gordon Guyatt needs your vote and believe me, he deserves it!

To vote, visit http://www.bmj.com/ - Scroll down to the middle of the
right panel where it says Online Poll and click on Gordon Guyatt's
name. His bio can be seen at
http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/short/339/dec29_2/b5546?rss=1

and he is the only Canadian on the short list.
