As part of the University of Ottawa's Yunnan (China) Maternal and Child
Health Project, a study tour from China to a south-east Asian country
(Thailand, Malaysia or the Philippines) is being planned for spring 2000.
If you have suggestions for potentially relevant projects or organizational
contacts within these countries, this information would be appreciated.

This study tour is one of several which will take place over the next
several years of the project, with a focus on rural community maternal and
child health PHC provision, training (esp. using participatory approaches)
of grassroots health workers (especially midwives, traditional birth
attendants, etc), and high-risk referral systems for remote rural areas.

The seven participants include project key trainers and people from
county-level health bureaus and MCH hospitals.

Study tour objectives are detailed below.

Thank you for your help.
