Your memories of the funny pseudo-christian signs is obviously something we
take for granted around these parts, which redound with such stuff.  There
is this guy who has erected these massive, 100-foot tall crosses on various
interstates -- maybe you ran across one of those!  one is in the middle of
Illinois on 70, near Effingham!
