Research Position
Women’s Mental Health
The B.C. Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health, in partnership with
Ministry of Health (Adult Mental Health), Minister’s Advisory Committee
on Women’s Health, Ministry of Women’s Equality, and other funders is
seeking a researcher for a seven month collaborative research project on
women’s mental health issues. This position requires some travelling to
rural areas for data collection. The successful candidate will report
to the Project Advisory Committee and the Executive Director for
direction and feedback but will otherwise be expected to work
independently to initiate and manage the project.
Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
· Proven ability to write for diverse audiences
· Demonstrated project management experience
· Direct experience with the mental health system and women’s issues
· Excellent communications, networking and group facilitation skills
· Proven analytical and qualitative research skills
· Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
