Vancouver/Richmond Health Board
Population Health Advisory Committee - Women

COMMITTEE MEMBERS WANTED!

The Population Health Advisory Committee - Women assists and advises
the Board on health and health services issues for women in the region,
and works with individuals and groups to address health issues in the community.

We are looking for women with a passion for women’s health, and an interest in
working with like-minded women to join our committee.

The committee worked with a number of partners over the past two years and
successfully completed the Women’s Health Planning Project. Earlier this year,
the Board approved the Report and adopted the Framework for Women Centered
Health, which was developed by project participants, to guide the its policies,
programs, services and structures - existing and new - in the region. The Board
also identified Women’s Health as a priority area and has ensured that gender is
considered in future funding allocations.

An Implementation Task Force has been formed to address recommendations from
the Women’s Health Planning Project. Our committee will have a role in monitoring
and evaluating implementation progress.

The Population Health Advisory Committee has also facilitated the development of
the VANCOUVER/RICHMOND WOMEN’S HEALTH NETWORK, and continues to
provide support for quarterly meetings.

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN WHO RESIDES IN VANCOUVER/RICHMOND AND
