Please note that the salary level of the Health Promotion position I
advertised recently has changed.  The current salary scale is CUPE Gr. 25
($46,555 to $52,905.)  The closing date is Friday July 7, 2000.

HEALTH PROMOTION<
Working within a multi-disciplinary health promotion team at a Teaching
Health Unit, a Substance Abuse Prevention Promoter is needed to plan,
develop, implement and evaluate substance abuse prevention programs.
Applicants with a Master's Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion ore
related area; sound knowledge of substance abuse prevention, behaviour
change theory, policy analysis and development; with demonstrated competence
in program planning and evaluation, health promotion strategies, community
mobilization, and written verbal and mass media communication will be
preferred. Candidates with a baccalaureate degree in health or applied
sciences with 2 years experience in the above areas and strong research and
analytical skills will also be considered. Salary based on $45,867.64 -
$52,122.98 per annum and attractive benefits package.
