Call for Papers
Geographic information system (GIS) technology is becoming
a significant tool for those who work health and
health-related services. From the science and practice of public
health, to the planning and delivering of health and social services,
or the business processes that support health delivery, GIS
mapping applications are making a difference.
Many of these applications will be shared at the inaugural ESRI
International Health GIS Conference which takes place
November 12-14, 2001, in Washington, D.C.
The ESRI Health and Human Services Solutions team invites
you to submit a paper topic for possible presentation at the
conference. Papers should focus on the use of GIS in any number of
areas such as the service delivery, health promotion, case
management, policy analysis, disease surveillance, and more.
The Call for Papers deadline is June 29, 2001. To submit
your idea, simply write a 50-word description of your GIS project or
application, along with your contact information, and send as an email
