There are three positions available with The City of Hamilton, Social &
Public Health Services Division.   Please find attached the job posting for
Physical Activity Promoter.  In addition, we are recruiting for Workplace
Health Coordinator (contact [log in to unmask]) and Manager of
Nutrition and Physical Activity (contact [log in to unmask]).  We

                PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROMOTER

Applicants with a Baccalaureate degree in Health Promotion, Physical
Education, Kinesiology or health science with two years work experience in
health promotion, community mobilization and policy research, analysis and
development are invited to apply for this 18 month position.

Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition and Physical Activity Promotion, the
Physical Activity Promoter will plan, develop, implement and evaluate
physical activity initiatives in keeping with the requirements of the
Physical Activity Promotion Program Standard under the Health Protection &
Promotion Act, Section 7.

Representing the Health Department on relevant committees, agency and/or
community boards the successful applicant must have sound knowledge of
physical activity promotion, health behaviour change theory, health policy
analysis and policy development.
