An interesting book . . .

Now at bookstores: "Is Inequality Bad for Our Health?" the
latest Boston Review New Democracy Forum to be published as a
paperback book by Beacon Press. The book, which examines the
degree to which social inequalities cause health problems,
features a lead essay by Norman Daniels, Bruce Kennedy, and
Ichiro Kawachi; responses from Marcia Angell, Ezekiel Emanuel,
Steffie Woolhandler, and others; and a foreword by Amartya
Sen. Publisher's Weekly notes that "the basic point proposed
by [the authors]--that good health depends mainly on factors
outside the health care sector--should prompt a more textured
debate on health policy." To buy the book from Amazon.com,
