HEALTH PROMOTING CHANGES IN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS FORUM

Health Promoting Changes in Emergency Departments is a two-day forum that will explore the opportunities for health promotion in emergency departments and provide case studies that are occurring in this setting.
This forum will be relevant to workers who are making health-promoting changes in their emergency department, hospital or health service. It will highlight change management methods to equip delegates with skills to effectively facilitate health-promoting organisational changes. Project management techniques pertinent to health promoters will also be included in the program.

- Project management for health promoters by Ray James, Director of the Collaboration for Applied Research and Evaluation at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research (Perth)
- Managing health-promoting organisational change by Associate Professor Marcus Kennedy, Director of Emergency Services at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (Melbourne)
- Influencing management and other staff by Rick Hayes, Senior Lecturer at the School of Public Health, La Trobe University (Melbourne)
- Health promoting hospitals overview and update by Doctor Anne Johnson, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Public Health, Flinders University (Adelaide)
