REVITALIZING MEDICARE: SHARED PROBLEMS, PUBLIC SOLUTIONS
Canada's public healthcare system provides the most fair
and efficient mechanism to meet the health challenges for Canada in the
future. That's the finding of a new study commissioned by the Tommy Douglas
Research Institute. The study rejects alarmist calls for privatization,
noting that many of the innovations already reforming the country's health
care system are much easier to introduce in Canada's public system than in
the fractured, private, for-profit system south of the border.
