In the l9th - century America had Mark Twain at it's young writer's club. At
that same club , Mark Twain met his new friend, russian short story writer,
Maxim Gorky. Are there any open dialoques and discussion written of Mark
Twain
in vivid conversation with Maxim Gorky?

Maxim Gorky, preached a heroic and optimistic view of intelligence, that was
new to russian literature at that time.

He wandered over southern russia, often leading a life of a tramp. His
experiences provided material for his short stories.

Short stories, such as "Makar Chudra" and Chelkash" "Foma Gordeyeu" "Mother"
" The Lower Depths" in which he gained fame when they were published.

According, to Mark Twain's files. In l906 a young club writer's meeting in
New
York is held. Some photographs are taken at that time. The Russian short
story
writer, Maxim Gorky, is on Mark Twain's right at table's club meeting.

Does anyone person know the whereabouts of the original photograph? Did the
Mark Twain Society auction the Picture Photograph? If,so, why?
Can someone enlighted me on the above information?
