I don’t have any particular expertise in designing exercise programs, but
you might want to do a search for articles written by Dr. Sandy Cousins of
the University of Alberta, Canada. Her focus is on older people and
physical activity, and she has done studies on what motivates or prevents
people from exercising. She is quite widely published in journals and has
co-authored a number of books.

Subject: issue about exercise

As everybody knows that exercise is very good for health, both mental and
physical. But promoting exercise is a very hard work. Most of people still
behave in their own way until they have a strong motivation to do.
I am going to arrange exercise program in the workplace (the hospital). We
have objective to promote health of health workers and also promote group
integration that might increase work potential. I am afraid that the
objectives of program will not be achieved, because I have never had
experience in this program before. Does somebody have experience in
designing exercise program? What did you do to make it work? Or what
problems do you get?
It doesn’t matter if you have no experience. Just suggest something, I will
be very grateful.
Thanks
Ratana Saipanish.
