The Centre for Health Promotion Studies at the University of Alberta is
recruiting for the position of Assistant Professor. Details are provided

Assistant Professor, Centre for Health Promotion Studies


The University of Alberta Coordinating Council of Health Sciences is seeking
a new academic member at the Assistant Professor level for the Centre for
Health Promotion Studies (CHPS). Together with the Centre Director and
colleagues in a variety of disciplines, the successful candidate will be
responsible for developing nationally recognized research programs, for
building effective partnerships, and for teaching in the Master of Science
thesis- and course-based programs in Health Promotion.

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in a relevant
discipline and have an excellent initial record of research in health
promotion, population health, social or cultural determinants of health.
Experience in University level teaching and community activity in health
promotion is an asset. The selected candidate will hold the rank of
Assistant Professor in a cross-appointment with the appropriate
department/faculty of their discipline. The salary range is $39,490.00 to
$55,882.00, compatible with qualifications. This is a tenure-track position.
