Dear Editor, Toronto Star
I just attended the three day bi-annual conference of the International
Society for Equity in Health which met in Toronto. Attending were over
300 delegates around the world who came to hear about and discuss the
growing crisis in health inequalities occurring in Canada, the
developed, and the developing world. Every presentation examined the
growing gap in health in terms of social, economic and political polcies
that are resulting from Globalization. Why did I not see a single,
health, medical, health policy, economics, social policy or political
reporter from the Toronto Star in attendance?
