On May 10 2003, a bilingual (French-English) symposium co-sponsored
by the Training and capacity building working group of the Canadian
Consortium of Health Promotion Research
http://www.utoronto.ca/chp/chp/consort/index.htm and the Canadian
Association of Teachers of Community Health (CATCH) will be held
in Calgary as a pre-conference activity of the Canadian Public Health
Association (CPHA) annual congress. In order to define the content of
the workshop titled: Teaching Health Promotion: the Burning Issues,
which will be co-facilitated by Drs. Marcia Hills, from University of
Victoria, and Michel O'Neill, from Université Laval, a two months
online discussion (February 4 to April 4 2003) will be facilitated by
Dr. Eugene Krupa, of University of Alberta. To receive a flyer about
the May 10 workshop, send a request to CPHA at <[log in to unmask]>. To partake in
the online discussion which will be held on the Canadian Consortium
bilingual HPSEDUC listserv, if you are not already on that list, send
an e-mail without a subject to <[log in to unmask]> with only
the following text in the body of the message (deactivate your
electronic signature if you have one):
subscribe HPSEDUC <your name> (for instance: subscribe HPSEDUC Michel
O'Neill).
You will receive a confirmation message and then a welcome message
explaining you how to use the list. The preparatory discussion for
the May symposium will begin on February 4 or shortly thereafter.
Anybody can always browse the past messages archived on HPSEDUC by
going at http://hermes.ulaval.ca/listserv/archives/hpseduc.html but
to post a new message, you have to subscribe to the list using the
process described above. This online discussion as well as the
symposium will be of interest to people teaching in health promotion
and health education, primarily but not exclusively in academic
settings. This process will also partake in the construction of the
Training stream of the 18th global conference of the International of
Health Promotion and Health education <http://www.iuhpe.org> to be
held in Melbourne, Australia, in April 2004.

d'une série de rencontres sur la formation en promotion de la santé
qui se tiendra en avril 2004 à Melbourne, en Australie, dans le cadre
de la 18è conférence mondiale de promotion de la santé de l'Union
internationale de promotion de la santé et d'éducation pour la santé
