---------------------------------

Health Promotion Ontario and the Public Health Agency of Canada have a survey on HP competencies that needs responses from people working in the field of health promotion in a public health setting.

Take the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=128263790397

The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback on the draft competencies. A set of health promotion competencies for all health promotion practitioners across Canada has been developed from a review of Australian, New Zealand and the University of Toronto M.H.Sc. Health Promoter competency sets, and also from a set of competency-based health promotion job descriptions developed by Health Promotion Ontario. Please consider if each of the competencies covered in the survey is a) relevant to your practice, and b) core to all health promotion practitioners. The deadline for survey responses is May 31, 2007.

Other health promotion practitioners are welcome to use these competencies, adapt them, or have a separate process to develop a complementary set.
