recent graduates) interested in gerentology and/or international health,
please pass this message along to them. The deadline for applications is
November 10,1997.

The School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa has received a youth
internship award from the Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH).
The focus of the internship is to help develop a model program of research,
education and clinical practice in gerontology and palliative care in
Tianjin, China.  The intern will spend approximately 2-3 months in Ottawa
followed by 7-8 months residence in Tianjin, China (near Beijing).  Fluency
in Mandarin Chinese would be an asset but is not a requirement. The value
of the internship is $12,000.
