SOUTH ASIA PARTNERSHIP CANADA
Invites you to a Roundtable Discussion on: BHUTAN-CANADA BILATERAL
RELATIONS
Presentation by:
HIS EXCELLENCY OM PRADHAN
&
THE HONOURABLE MAURICE F. STRONG
Please join us for this rare opportunity in meeting and speaking with
representatives from Bhutan including the Ambassador and Permanent
Representative of Bhutan to the United Nations, New York, H.E. Om Pradhan,
and The Honourary Consul of Bhutan, Maurice F. Strong.
As a small country in South Asia, Bhutan has kept its distance from the
outside world to preserve its culture and ecology. It is now gradually
opening up and seeking contact and exchange with other countries.
Canadians
have had some special relationships with Bhutan over time and can build on
them in the future. This session will provide some insight into a little
understood country and explore how the two countries can close the distance
between them.
When: Tuesday, May 15, 2001
Time: 10:00 to 12:00 PM
Place: Conference Room (202), Second Floor
1 Nicholas Street, Ottawa
