Dear Georgia
I will give you the URL of WHO Healthy Cities case studies in case you are
interested in all their projects, but the program that sprang to mind when I
read your message was the Walk to School Project which is well down the
page.

Subject: Community Capacity Building Through Physical Activity

Hello folks,
I am embarking on a new three-year project that will have as its' focus
understanding physical activity as a program entry to building community
capacity. We will be working particularly with youth and in disadvantged
communities.
I am at the stage of learning everything I can that has been done out there.
I have found LOTS of information about physical activity/adolescents/risk
factors, but little about using the interventions to create a healthier
community beyond the individuals involved.
Does anybody out there have some suggestions of resources, unpublished
reports, personal experiences, evaluations, research findings etc.?
Thanks colleagues!
