I'd also recommend the Prenataled.com site. While the organization is not
Canadian (I'm not sure whether this was important to the requester), and is
directed at practitioners working with Medicaid populations in the US, one of
their strengths is that their staff have lots of expertise in clear written and
spoken communication. Thus their approach is very friendly and accessible, and
driven by the need to make pregnancy info accessible to folks who otherwise
might not easily find what they need (i.e., people living in poverty, among
others). There's lots of info on health literacy (HL) as a result, including a
link to a site on the subject that was created in honour of HL Month 2000, which
contains a wealth of content and links on HL.
