The following position is available with the City of Hamilton Social &
Public Health Services Department.

Healthy Lifestyles Marketing Coordinator

The City of Hamilton Social and Public Health Services Department, a Public
Health Research Education and Development Unit, affiliated with McMaster
University and the University of Guelph is currently recruiting for a
Healthy Lifestyles Marketing Coordinator.

Reporting to the Director, Healthy Lifestyles and Disease Prevention, you
will develop, coordinate and manage community-wide health education
campaigns and multi-year social marketing programs related to lifestyle risk
factors and chronic disease prevention. You will provide marketing expertise
in the development of health promotion projects and will develop health
promotion initiatives and partnership programs with the private sector and
media organizations.

You have a sound knowledge of social marketing, market research theory and
communications campaign theory and design. You are skilled in market
research methodology, strategic planning, developing and implementing
multi-year marketing plans, preparing business cases, and project management
skills. You have excellent skills in verbal and written communication,
superior computer skills including web-based applications. You are
innovative and have a bias for a best practices marketing approach to
delivering customer-focused services.

Qualified applicants will have a Masters degree in Marketing/Social
Marketing or Health Promotion or equivalent with course work in consumer
behaviour, communications, marketing research, marketing strategy and health
promotion.
