The Wellesley Urban Health Seminar Series - Toronto

Partnering for Health:
Communities and Universities Working Together

Community-based research is increasingly accepted as a valuable approach to solving complex urban health problems.

The Detroit Community-Academic Urban Research Center (Detroit URC) is one of the leading organizations in community-based research. The Detroit URC is a collaborative involving the University of Michigan Schools of Public Health and Nursing, the Detroit Health Department, eight community-based organizations, and Henry Ford Health System. Their goal is to promote and support interdisciplinary, collaborative, community-based research that both improves the health and quality of life of families and communities.

The Detroit URC will be highlighting some of their innovative work in community-based research.

This presentation is open to all interested in collaborative research in urban health.

We are truly fortunate to have these leaders in community-based research in Toronto and know that you will gain significantly from attending. Their contribution to the field is widely noted and they are in high demand at international conferences on urban health.
