Hi Suzanne,

UCINET is a software package commonly used
for network analysis. It's available at
http://www.analytictech.com/. This site
also contains a pdf tutorial and
searchable instructional pages.

See also the International Network of
Social Network Analysis homepage,

Subject: Looking for network mapping tools and models

Dear Colleagues,

The Health Promotion Resource team at the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse
(OPC) is about to engage in a network mapping process to assess the breadth
and depth of our current individual, organizational and community
relationships.

The OPC Health Promotion Resource Centre supports groups and individuals
working to strengthen population-based health
promotion.(http://www.opc.on.ca).

We are looking for models of network mapping that others have used to track
your networks, particularly models that assess the degree of connectivity.
This would include an assessment of all kinds of organizational
relationships from committee and board members, to advisors and partners, as
well as more informal networks that may involve information or resource
sharing.

We want to understand and strengthen the linkages and networks that we have
in OPC, and to set priorities for new networks that could help us expand the
health promotion field, and increase our capacity for collaboration and
exchange.

We would appreciate learning about any network mapping models that are out
there, including survey questions, checklists, and frameworks.

Many thanks!
