Urban developers and health workers may wish to review [and contrast] the
Conclusions Findings from two community quality of life projects in
Metropolitan Toronto. The first community, Riverdale, is an economically and
culturally diverse community in downtown Toronto. The second, Lawrence
Heights, is a culturally diverse subsidized housing community located in
surburban North York.

These also provide an example of the kind of reports that can be produced
using qualitative methods in a community-based action oriented project.

Details below:

The Conclusions Reports for the Riverdale and Lawrence Heights [Toronto]
Community Quality of Life Project can be downloaded for free from the
following internet site:

http://www.healthycommunities.org

Once there, go to the "Community Library" and enter "Library Resources". Then
do a search using the keywords "Quality of Life". Click on the Riverdale
/ Lawrence Heights Reports. Then go down to the end of the record. You will
then receive information on downloading this 18 page report in ascii format.
