FIRST STEPS
PROGRAM MANAGER



        First Steps, a residence for young pregnant women opening in Saint
John early in 2002, requires a Program Manager.  Reporting to the Family
Resource Center, and working closely with the First Steps Committee,
responsibilities include:

*       To identify, develop, direct and support all activities required to
prepare the Residence for operation.
*       Manage the staff, programs and overall operations of the residence.

Qualifications:
        The successful applicant will possess post-secondary education in
health or social sciences, training and experience managing staff, budgets
and working with youth, preferably in a residential setting, minimum of
three years experience working in community development, including working
closely with human service organizations, excellent written and verbal
communication skills.

A reliable vehicle is required for this position.

Salary:

        Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
