Hello all health promoters out there. I am another of the MPH students from
Australia. I am new to the scene of health promotion but have become more
interested in some of the approaches to Health Promotion. As alot of us are
aware the sickest people in our countery are those who are poorly educated
and of lower socio ecomomic status. These people will continue to drink and
smoke due to the undue stressors on their life, the cycle will go on,
producing children of similar economic status and similar health status. It
makes a lot of sence to me that if governments were to implement policy to
bridge the gap between high and low socio economic status ther may be a
reduction in health complications.

However after some discussion with my peers we are all in grave doubt that
any government would impliment educational policy improving acces to
alleviate health problems in 25 years time.May be I am wrong I hope so. May
be this approach is to simplistic. Would some one be able to share their
experience of on intersectorial approach particularly primary secondary or
tertiary educational, to ultimatly improve health outcome.
