Greetings,

It seems that many CLICK4HP list subscribers need a refresher or reminder on
how to manage the listserv subscription, including how to "signoff" the
listserv, set to digest, use the reply function, contact message posters
directly and access the CLICK4HP archives.

Most important - this address that you are reading this message at
<[log in to unmask]> is for messages to ALL the 850+ subscribers of the
CLICK4HP health promotion listserv. It is ***not*** the place that you
should use for posting commands such as 'signoff' or 'unsubscribe'. The
other list members cannot help you. The list owners, of which I am one of
three, can 'delete' you from the list if you are unable to do this task
yourself. As I deleted the two people who sent 'signoff' messages to the
entire list yesterday, I am copying them in this message so that they can
learn how to unsubscribe or signoff from other listservs that they might
join.

* The email address for all commands to the ListServer is
[log in to unmask]
* Any time you send a message to the Listserver, you need to leave the
Subject line blank
* In the body of the message you need to include the ListName (Click4HP) so
that the automated Listserver knows what list to take action upon.

If you wish to Unsubscribe - you send a message to [log in to unmask]
Leave the Subject line blank
In the body of the message type in only

UNSUBSCRIBE CLICK4HP

or
SIGNOFF CLICK4HP

You do the same thing to Subscribe (take out the UN) adding your name after
the name of the list.

To change your subscription to DIGEST:

In the body of the message type in only
SET CLICK4HP DIGEST

It might mean that you will receive many of the postings a second time
today, when the digest is sent out at midnight with all of the messages in
that day contained in one message.
(to turn it off you would send another message to [log in to unmask] with
SET CLICK4HP NODIGEST)

To stop receiving email messages from the Click4HP list for a period of time
(while remaining a member)

In the body of the message type in
SET CLICK4HP NOMAIL

To start receiving email messages from the list after returning
send your message to the listserver and in the body of the message type in
SET CLICK4HP MAIL

Only you can make these modifications - other members on Click4HP and the
list-owners cannot do it for you. If you have any questions about your
subscription - please do contact the list-owners directly at
[log in to unmask]

*** Be Careful About the Use of REPLY ***

Often when you see a message posted to the CLICK4HP health promotion list,
it appears to come directly from an individual, and you may be tempted to
'reply' to that person (not to the list) by clicking on the 'reply' function
in your email. Beware! When you select Reply - it will reply to the entire
CLICK4HP list, *not* only to the individual who sent the original message.
Check the address line - if you only wanted to reach that individual, then
highlight and copy their email address into a new email message and send it
to them only. If you wanted to reply to the whole list, then please do use
the Reply function.

And lastly, remember the CLICK4HP list archives are easily accessible and
searchable in a new website (where, with a little work, you can manage your
subscription settings as well) at
http://listserv.yorku.ca/archives/click4hp.html
