Job title:      Education Coordinator

Salary Range:   $35,000 - $44,500

FTE:            1.0 - full time

The Education Coordinator reports to the Director of the Alberta Centre for
Well-Being, a provincial non-profit organization supported by the Alberta
Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation, and associated with the
University of Alberta's Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation.  The
Education Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and
evaluating educational events, projects and publications. Working with the
Director, education team, and other staff, and often in collaboration with
other organizations, the Education Coordinator develops educational
opportunities for Centre clients, who are practitioners requiring
evidence-based information on physical activity.

Education:
·       Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (Masters preferred).
·       Background to include physical activity/active living, a health
promotion/population health orientation (specifically, the Health
Determinants).
·       Knowledge about adult education and older adults useful.

Skills:
·       Excellent communication skills, and the ability to write reports,
articles, and other materials well.
·       Able to identify and search for relevant information in journals,
professional publications, on the Internet, and through personal contacts.
·       Medium to high proficiency with MS Office software and the Internet.
·       Knowledge of community physical activity and active living organizations/
networks/groups an asset.

Experience:
·       Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a health promotion and
adult education setting.
·       Production of educational publications.
·       Organizing events such as educational workshops and conferences.
·       Experience in project management and multi-tasking.
·       Experience working with volunteer committees an asset.
