You could try the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit. They work with a community
help center in the rural area around Frogmore who are running some
innovative programs involving computer based learning/access - women are a
target group.

Also, the Brant County Library is working on placing internet access in
community centers in the more rural areas of the County.

Try contacting the Waterloo Region Health Unit - they were running a
program where they loaned computers that had been donated to them to
families in the community in order to allow them to access health
resources.

Subject: Reaching Rural Women on-line

Does anyone have any information on how to reach women in rural
communities
through the internet? On-line access, cost and comfort-level are major
issues in many rural areas and I am wondering whether there have been
any
programs or initiatives that have met with success.

Thanks!
