Hi Jim,
I have two avenues for you to follow for your healthy community
projects. The first one is to search under the program database at
www.health-in-action.org <http://www.health-in-action.org/> / for
Alberta projects. These projects will have the contact information with
them.
The second one is to go to the contact list for Safe Communities at
http://www.safecommunities.ca/contacts.htm The Safe Community
initiatives target many issues affecting their communities and I can
personally assist you with information on individual Alberta Safe
Communities.

Since I am the Project Manager for Health in Action and the Alberta
Regional Coordinator for Safe Communities feel free to contact me for
more information on either.

Subject: Help on Measuring the Health of Communities
Importance: High

Hello: Our Institute is doing a research project on indicators of the
health of Canadian communities. We are focussing on
municipal/regional-level initiatives that target more than one aspect of
community health. This includes so-called, healthy communities projects,
quality of life projects, sustainability projects, report cards etc.

We are putting together a sample of Canadian projects for a national
survey. We would greatly appreciate receiving any
information/nominations
of projects that you might know of. Contact information would be
helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Our results will be
posted
on the web for public access.

Best regards Jim Frankish
