Who influences young people today? Despite what you might think, a variety
of caregivers, like parents, grandparents, foster parents, coaches, and
mentors, have a tremendous impact on youth actions and choices. And this
month, SAMHSA's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information
(NCADI), commends those caregivers and invites them to support the Parenting
is Prevention Web site at http://www.parentingisprevention.org/.

Parenting is Prevention-a site dedicated to parents who want to keep their
children drug-free-offers information and tips concerning substance abuse
prevention, publications, weekly updates, and resource links to various
substance abuse prevention agencies.

In addition, during the month of June, SAMHSA's NCADI is offering a FREE
Parenting is Prevention Kit which includes library searches, publications in
both English and Spanish, and a listing of featured videos available for
purchase.

For more information or to order your Parenting is Prevention kit, please
visit http://ncadi.samhsa.gov/promos/theme/.

We look forward to your feedback and participation.

Sincerely,

Farra Trompeter, Web Marketer
