You are invited to join us for our Annual General Meeting.

December 05, 2002
4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Alumni Hall, Victoria College Building ('Old Vic')
91 Charles Street West, Toronto

Network with colleagues in health promotion, get an update on the
Centre's activities, watch the presentation of the Healthy U of T Awards
for 2002, and hear our guest, Graham Clyne of the Prevention Dividend
Project, speak on "Economic Thinking for Health Promoters."

The Prevention Dividend Project has been focused on collecting evidence
about the economic benefits of disease prevention and health promotion
activities. This past summer, the Centre for Health Promotion
collaborated with PDP to describe the economic evaluation process in
everyday language. Currently the Centre is conducting a research project
with a university partner in Colombia to develop a framework for
economic evaluations of healthy municipalities. This is an area of
increasing interest in health promotion and it is timely to hear from
Graham, whose group has been collecting information about this from
across North America.
