treatment, we wanted to invite you to participate in this upcoming
multimedia event.

Recovery Month Webcast: "The Road to Recovery 2003"

This year an expanded Recovery Month Webcast series begins with "The Road to
Recovery 2003."  This Webcast will serve as an informative introduction to
the 2003 September Recovery Month observance.  It demonstrates to viewers
and communities nationwide that many benefits of participating in the
Recovery Month celebration.   It also delineates ways in which people in
recovery and their families can spur support for alcohol and drug disorder
services in the municipality and state.

"The Road to Recovery 2003" will feature the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's
(SAMHSA's) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Director Dr. H.
Westley Clark, CSAT Associate Director for Consumer Affairs Ivette Torres
(program host), and recovery community representatives from across the
Nation on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 from 3 to 4 p.m. (EST).

The February 5th program is the first in a series of nine 2003 Recovery
Month Webcasts.  Future programs will premiere on the first Wednesday of
each month from March through September 2003.  The programs will be archived
for viewing at anytime thereafter.  The Webcasts will explore current
efforts to expand the availability of treatment, review effective treatment
approaches, and look at what is being done in communities nationwide to
bring recovery to those with alcohol and drug addictions.

Note: Each Webcast in this series supports the 14th annual observance of
National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.  All Recovery Month
activities are coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Service's SAMHSA's CSAT in partnership with over 70 private and public
organizations nationwide.  To learn more about Recovery Month, visit

"The Road to Recovery" will be archived for viewing at anytime after the
February 5, 2003 premiere at http://www.recoverymonth.gov/2003/multimedia/.
Videotapes of the Webcast will be available through SAMHSA's National
Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information at a cost of $12.50.  Copies
can be ordered online at the Recovery Month Web site.
