"From Hygiene to Holism: Mental Health Promotion -- History, Concepts and
Current Concerns" (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

Mr. Tudor will address the history of Mental Health Promotion from the
early days of the mental hygiene movement to the current renewal of
interest in this field.  He will review different definitions and
components of mental health and set them in a conceptual framework which
frames both theory and practice.  From his study of the field, he will
review a number of themes and concerns current to the promotion of mental
health.

"From Theory to Practice: Mental Health Promotion in Action" (1:30 p.m. to
4:30 p.m.)

Having laid the historical and theoretical context to the promotion of
mental health, this talk/presentation will focus on the practice of mental
health promotion.  In doing so, Keith Tudor will focus on four areas of
application: in education, the workplace and the community, and working
with people with mental illnesses.  He will also discuss mental health
assessment and policy.
