Project Safe, the grant funded program to reduce violent crimes against
women on campus, at the Margaret Cuninggim Women's Center at Vanderbilt
University, is looking for a Faculty/Staff Educator.  The job description is
included below.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year relevant work experience
required. Master's degree preferred. Position serves as a Faculty/Staff
Educator. Plans, develops, markets, and implements education and training
programs for faculty and staff related to the dynamics of violence against
women, services available on campus and in the community, and the
responsibilities of faculty and supervisors for reporting and responding to
incidents. Works closely with the Coordinator of Outreach and Services in
fulfilling the mission, goals and objectives of Project Safe. Works closely
with the staff of the Margaret Cuninggim Women's Center in creating a safe
and welcoming environment for women and promoting gender equity on campus
and in the community. Strong interest in the knowledge of issues related to
violence against women is required. Strong presentation and training skills
required. Crisis Intervention skills a plus. Prefer strong interest in and
knowledge of issues of equity and diversity; strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage program budget required. Computer/desktop
publishing/powerpoint skills preferred. Experience in a University setting
preferred. Knowledge of feminist principles preferred. Ability to work
collaboratively as part of a collegial team, across the University, and with
the community.
Position is 30 hours per week and is grant funded for two years.
