Assistant Director/S.A.F.E. Coordinator Women's Center
Position is responsible for developing, coordinating, presenting, and
assessing educational programs and services for students designed to 1)
promote gender equity and eliminate sexism, 2) enhance safety and decrease
vulnerability to sexual violence and 3) facilitate the academic success of
adult women students. Responsibilities include developing and managing a
comprehensive sexual assault prevention and education program and providing
advocacy, crisis intervention, and referrals for students. Minimum
Qualifications: Required: Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate,
implement, and present programs; considerable knowledge of sexual
assault-related issues; excellent communication skills; demonstrated
ability to collaborate with diverse individuals and groups; considerable
experience in crisis intervention and advocacy; considerable knowledge of
contemporary women's and gender issues; basic knowledge of student
development theory and needs of adult women students; and Master's degree
in Counseling, Women's Studies, Student Personnel, or related field
required. Preferred: Experience in a campus or community-based sexual
assault program; demonstrated ability to assess
students' needs and make appropriate referrals; experience in higher
education setting; and basic supervisory experience preferred. Review of
