ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HEALTH EDUCATION AND WELLNESS

Requisition Number: 02258

Starting Salary: $29,461.

Responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of a Wellness
program, and overall to support, advocate, and promote wellness for Rice
students.  Under the advisement of the Director, develop, coordinate,
maintain, and evaluate the programs, services, and resources offered by the
Health Education and Wellness Office (HEWO) in support of the mission of the
HEWO.

Requires:  Bachelor's degree in health education, public health or a related
field; demonstrative knowledge of college health issues; basic knowledge of
computers, e-mail, and Internet experience; excellent organizational skills,
interpersonal skills, and judgment; and excellent public speaking skills.

Prefers:  Master's degree in health education, public health or a related
field; experience implementing and providing effective, innovative health
education and wellness programs; previous survey research experience; and
experience advising students organizations; computer experience with SPSS,
Excel, and Dream Weaver.  Applicants must submit writing samples of original
health education presentations or brochures and three references with
resume.
