On Friday morning, June 28, CNS will upgrade the York Central Web Service.
The upgrade is needed to introduce requested features and fix bugs.

The upgrade will involve a momentary outage at 7 a.m. with minimal
impact on all users browsing www.yorku.ca as well as users posting
files to York web sites via publish.yorku.ca.

The new version will add the following features the York Central Web
Service:

    * ability to restrict access to web sites by IP address
    * improved site redirection after authentication
    * facilitate easier future upgrades to web and publishing services

If you notice any problems with specific web sites after the upgrade, please
report them to [log in to unmask] The CNS development team will be
prepared to resolve any issues as they arise.
