HI,

I'm looking for references to reliable and valid instruments that measure
self-esteem, body image, media literacy and compentency in middle to late
elementary school aged youth who will be participating in a tobacco
cessation/reduction program.  The tools will be used as pre and post
program measures and are part of the evaluation of the program.

The Harter's self perception profile has been recommend to me.  Does anyone
have experience or comments on this particular scale?  And does anyone have
the specific reference or a copy of this scale?
