The Department of Community Health Sciences is a dynamic interdisciplinary
community of scholars committed to excellence in both research and teaching.
We offer degrees in Community Health, Child Health, Health Science, and
Biomedical Science. We are presently seeking an outstanding individual in
Health Promotion. The new colleague will be appointed to a tenure-track
position at the Assistant Professor level and will be responsible for
delivering undergraduate courses and supporting the graduate program. All
applicants are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in an appropriate
discipline, be capable and motivated educators, and have demonstrated
success in research through both grants and publications. Scholars with well
established research programs may be considered at a more senior level and
are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant for the position in Health Promotion will be
expected to deliver undergraduate courses in health promotion and cultural
diversity at both the introductory and advanced level. An ability to deliver
courses, in one of the areas of gender and health and/or aging and health is
a second expectation.
