Bonjour,
In response to your question which I just answered to one of your
colleagues, the PRECEDE/PROCEDE model is not translated into French. See my
I hope that this is useful.

Subject: Request for French equivalents
Allo tout le monde! (plus ou moins eh? ;-)
PRECEDE/PROCEED FRAMEWORK FOR PLANNING? Merci d'avance!
We are in the process of translating and editing some HP texts for a
client and are having a particularly difficult time finding any French
equivalents for the PRECEDE/PROCEED FRAMEWORK FOR PLANNING. Does
anyone know of any french discussion on this topic? Thanks in advance
A bit more background follows:....

Health promotion has become a major challenge for all health
providers. Having the necessary tools to create a health promotion
project in the community, for the community, is key to the projects
success. In the 1970's the PRECEDE/PROCEED Framework evolved
providing a step-by-step approach to assist providers in creating
appropriate health promotion projects.
PRECEDE stands for "Predisposing, Reinforcing, and Enabling
Constructs in Educational Diagnosis and Evaluation." This segment
takes into account the multiple factors that shape health status and
help the planner arrive at a highly focused subset of factors as
targets for intervention. It also generates specific objectives and
criteria for evaluation.
The second segment, PROCEED stands for "Policy, Regulation and
Organizational Constructs in Education and Environmental
Development." The policy, regulatory and organizational components
of this segment take the provider beyond education to the political,
managerial and economic actions necessary to make social systems and
environments more conducive to healthful lifestyles.
