Community Health Day

Community Health Day is an annual public awareness campaign that promotes
Community Health Centres and Public Health Units in Ontario, and increases
awareness around the impacts of the social determinants of health. The event
is organized in collaboration with the Association of Ontario Health
Centres.

The OPHA has produced a kit designed as an aid to organizing Community
Health Day (CHD).  It contains some ideas, how-to tips and general
information for planning CHD events.

“Health is a Community Affair Award”

This award is given to recognize and celebrate the contribution of those who
demonstrate an understanding of the determinants of health (employment,
education, isolation and poverty) and the role society can play to encourage
understanding of their impacts.
