As a follow-up to Susan Himel <[log in to unmask]> and her posting
asking for information on Overcoming socio-economic barriers related to
diabetes I would like to follow with a second question.
The development of diabetes monitoring devices has reached the point where
some of the the monitor/testing devices can store data for several days
and give some visual feedback to the user.
Is any one aware of projects or programs -anywhere in the world- where the
monitoring data is being feed back to the health care providers (doctors,
clinics, community health organizations) for patient surveilance? We are
interested in "feed back" using both wired and wireless phone or internet
applications.
I am working with a global group of medical people interested in remote
monitoring.
